Understanding xHUM

xHUM conversion

  • Users can convert HUM to xHUM at a 1:1 ratio on Athena Finance

    • Users may receive a better than 1:1 ratio when converting on Athena Finance due to our Smart Converter

    • Conversion on Athena is permanent; however secondary markets exist for xHUM liquidity

  • Users can then stake that xHUM to earn ~25% of Athena's revenue. Athena further incentivizes xHUM staking by rewarding stakers with ATH, our native protocol token

  • When a user converts HUM into xHUM on Athena, that HUM is owned by Athena and locked forever on Hummus Exchange

    • xHUM can be sold for HUM in secondary markets

    • Athena incentivizes liquidity for xHUM-HUM with the exchange rate determined by the market

xHUM Liquidity Pools

  • Rather than staking xHUM, users can also choose to provide liquidity for xHUM-HUM

  • Users can then stake the Liquidity Pool token on Athena to receive rewards of our native token ATH

    • This is done in order to incentivize sufficient liquidity for users to be able to seamlessly enter and exit the Athena Finance ecosystem
